I started vaping a little over a year ago. While I have always been active, worked out and ate healthy, I had also been smoking for 10+ years and was ready for a change. At first I was weaning myself off cigarettes by vaping occasionally while still smoking, but after roughly 3 months of vaping the desire to have a cigarette gradually went away and it has not come back. My grandmother has emphysema and chronic bronchitis, and watching her health deteriorate was a big inspiration in what helped me quit smoking.
I started smoking as a social thing and then it became a I just woke up, I am out side, in my car, on a break, before I eat, after I eat, and before bed habit. Smoking socially quickly turned into smoking a pack a day. After smoking for a little over five years I met someone who had been vaping for about a year and was pretty familiar with the devices and such. He convinced me to take the leap and I have now been vaping for over two years! I was even able to do this by quitting cigarettes completely and just vaping right the moment the shop employees set up my mod. Within days I felt a difference. That dreadful morning smokers cough had reduced and eventually disappeared completely. Two years later and I feel like I was never a smoker!
